Circle of Security® Parenting (COS-P)

Circle of Security® Parenting (COS-P) is an evidence-based parenting program designed to strengthen the parent–child relationship by building secure attachment. Using the COS-P model developed by the program’s originators, trained facilitators support parents and caregivers in understanding their child’s emotional needs and responding with confidence and connection.

At its core, Circle of Security helps caregivers look beneath children’s behavior to understand the genuine relationship needs driving it—supporting healthier emotional development from infancy through early childhood.

The Circle of Security Parenting Class is an 8-week, evidence-based program focused on early intervention and relationship-based support for parents and caregivers.

Central to the program is the Circle of Security map, a simple yet powerful visual tool that helps caregivers understand and follow their child’s attachment needs. The map clearly illustrates the link between attachment, emotional regulation, and learning.
